There’s something magical about this time of year, something that helps bring me closer to the things that are important – service, giving, family, enjoying the moment. But there’s also something that can often make this time of year more superficial – shopping, commercialism, materialism. Well, I’m going to take a shot at bridging that gap with music.
First, I’ve recorded one of my favorite Christmas songs, and have it available for you for free – my gift to you. (I’ve sent money to Mel Tormé and Bob Wells, who wrote it back in 1944, so that I could offer their wonderful song here.) Just click on the play button at left to hear it, or even better, click on the download link and have a copy of my version for yourself – for free. I hope you enjoy it, and it brings you and yours joy this season.
Second, I’m trying out a wonderful new service, Bandcamp, to make my music available, and in honor of the season, I am offering all of my music, digital MP3s as well as physical CDs, for 50% off. That way, you can get one yourself, and give one as a gift; or buy the CD for someone for half price and get the MP3s free for yourself. Get some quality, inexpensive gifts – MP3s, CDs, DVDs – and share the joy of music. You can also pick up a copy of my Relay for Life Songs 2010 CD where the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society to help find a cure for cancer.

I wish you all peace and joy this season and always.
